Fast from Slough: Flickr photo of the day

In the British auto industry of the '50s and '60s, the standard route to success involved remixing engines and chassis from different firms under custom bodywork in search of just the right balance. Here's one that didn't quite work, the 1958 Peerless GT, a fiberglass-bodied sports car with a Triumph engine and style to spare, and in Gordon Calder's photo looks more alluring than most goods emanating from Slough.
