It’s Not Tea if It Hasn’t Been Brewed Using Acura NSX GT Concept–Sourced Energy

Acura NSX Concept GT Race Car

Do you often find yourself entrapped by local utility monopolies? Ever wish you could break free from the grid, but still brew tea for your family of 37? Do you mind if your energy freedom comes with a screaming engine soundtrack and potentially heavy dyno dust? Then Honda sure has the home-energy solution for you. All you’ll need is a dyno rigged up to harvest energy, some creepy-looking electrical cables, more hotplates than a college dorm, and an NSX GT concept racer.

Honda released a video on YouTube with just such a setup to advertise its home-energy solutions, which we assume usually consist of gasoline-fueled portable generators and not race-car prototypes and dynamometers. We’re not sure how a modified NSX concept car rigged up to a bunch of teapots accomplishes that goal, but at least the video has a ton of glorious exhaust music from the NSX GT’s turbocharged 2.0-liter four. Super GT regulations dictate the small engine size, which is notable for being entirely different from the production NSX’s V-6/electric Sport Hybrid Super-Handling All-Wheel-Drive system. But at least it sounds great. Watch the video below:
