Angry giraffe chases safari tourists in their Toyota Land Cruiser

A group of safari tourists in South Africa had the shock of their lives as a 13-foot male giraffe chased them through the savannah for two miles, knocking off the Toyota Land Cruiser's mirror and kicking the driver.

No one was injured in the attack, but cameraman, Rainer Schimpf, said: "There was laughter; then tension; then fear." The giraffe was thought to be suffering from "hormonal imbalance" and has a reputation for odd behavior. This, however, marks the first time he has chased humans.

But perhaps this wasn't a chase: Maybe the giraffe was simply seeing if he was faster than a Land Cruiser. Or maybe he had been watching too much Jurassic Park. Either way, in the case of the giraffe versus Land Cruiser, I give this round to the giraffe.
