Porsche teases Macan SUV

We've all had a decade to get used to Porsche's first SUV. Now that our collective gasps have been wiped out by complete awe and respect -- especially for the mad Cayenne Turbo -- it's almost time for the company's second.

The Macan is a compact SUV based off the next-generation Audi Q5 and according to Car and Driver will likely share two engines, a four-cylinder turbo with 237 horsepower and a turbocharged V6. Pricing should start well below $60,000 to compete with other sporty SUVs like the upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLA and BMW X4. Porsche is murky about the details, only providing this dark teaser shot on its consumer website last week.

We know it's going to be a quick, agile SUV like its bigger brother, the Cayenne, and there's no doubt it'll still be quite nice inside and let buyers tack on $30,000 in options in no time. We're not sure when to expect the Macan, but it could debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show next month.
