With BMW’s hot new M4 concept coupe set to debut any moment now, it was only a matter of time before the internet bequeathed us with “leaked” photos of the much-anticipated car. Sure enough, a couple of images purportedly revealing BMW’s 2015 M4–previewing show car appeared on Belgian site Auto55, ahead of the concept’s debut.
We’ve extensively covered the M4′s name change from M3, but here’s a refresher: The M4 is BMW’s high-performance 4-series coupe, a car whose name switched to reflect BMW’s coupe/sedan nomenclature hierarchy. (Coupes are labeled using even numbers, while sedans get odd-numbered names; the M3 name will live on, just in four-door form.) But back to the leaked M4 concept photos. It doesn’t much look like a concept—in fact, just as the 4-series Concept Coupe pretty much was a lightly disguised production car, the M4 you see here likely won’t change much when it goes on sale.

These slightly blurry photos display an M4 replete with the expected large intakes, M-signature carbon-fiber roof panel, gigantic split-five-spoke wheels, and hood power bulge. (These items roughly mimic the body mods worn by an M4 prototype our spy photographers recently caught testing.) We’ll be bringing you full M4 concept details soon, so stay tuned.
